Celebrations with Meaning. Let me guide you.
I have been a Celebrant for over 12 years. Recently I joined the Picaluna team as a Funeral Director and Celebrant. Their individualistic, nurturing approach and ethical service model sits very comfortably with me.
As a teacher of Comparative Religions and different forms of Spirituality, coupled with Yoga Teaching and Therapy over many years, I have a deep understanding and awareness of ritual and the need for acknowledging life's passages and how important this is in enabling healing, growth and transition.
A funeral is a recognition of a person's life and their impact on others, witnessed and celebrated by loved ones, family and the community.
End of life celebrations with meaning is a way of connecting people and bringing communities together. What I am passionate about is helping you during this journey and bringing your loved one's stories to life as well as guiding and assisting decision making during an overwhelming and difficult time.
Bronnie Hixson recently acted as Celebrant at a funeral for a member of my family, both at the graveside and the wake. Bronnie ushered us through this most difficult time with great care and sensitivity and thoughtful and tender words. We are not a religious family so it was important to find the right words and sentiments to express some sense of Spirituality in order to ease us through the process on the day and to provide some comfort in our grief and our loss. I think Bronnie did exactly that and with a compassionate and calming tone and manner.
