Experienced, Empathetic, Creative, a Good Listener and Storyteller
I bring to my role as celebrant the knowledge and understanding first hand of grief and loss. My beloved husband died suddenly in 2014. Putting together his service I felt it was my job to honour and celebrate his life in the best way possible. I realised during this this difficult time how important it is for family and friends to acknowledge their love and loss. Prior to this time I worked in the film and television industry as a director and producer so have many years experience of putting together important and relevant shows. I trained as a celebrant with my brother-in-law, John Truman, who was one of Australia's first funeral celebrants. I also studied bereavement counselling. I believe every family is different and has their own needs when it comes to creating a loving and appropriate service for their loved one. I bring empathy and practicality to help you celebrate and farewell that person who was so important to your life.
