My mum initially wanted to go with a more traditional funeral director but after contacting Picaluna we knew they were exactly what we needed. Melissa was very swift to respond and right from our initial chat we knew that she could provide a fitting tribute to my Dad and help us navigate this important event in these strange COVID times. Nothing was cookie cutter right down to her helping create a memory table with a photograph of Dad, his hat, amazing wildflowers and the ashes as a lovely focal point in place of his coffin.
Melissa anticipated all our needs and made the necessary decisions simple. She organised the audio visual streaming aspects and we had endless comments from friends and family on what a professional production it was. Her attention to detail was fantastic. Most importantly she was so naturally empathetic – she is Picalua’s secret weapon.”
