WHY... WE EXIST

Offering genuine, personal funerals, helping communities to honour, mourn, celebrate, heal & rejuvenate.

WHAT... WE DO

Change the way funerals are done for the better.

HOW... WE DO IT

Bringing experience, our approach is authentic, transparent & compassionate. We assist you to create a beautiful ceremony, understand your person, telling the story and quality of their life.

We inspire creativity, by listening and collaborating with positive energy. Every funeral is individual; collectively, we collaborate to create better experiences.

Call us now, to discuss inspirational choices with one of our experienced funeral arrangers; it might be a unique venue, delicious catering, professional audio visual options such as live webcasting of the ceremony, or flowers to suit your particular needs... plus many more.

CREMATIONS

We provide advice on all cremation options available, and make the necessary arrangements on your behalf at a crematorium of your choice. Once the cremation is completed, our funeral director will organise a time to deliver the ashes to you.

We can source an urn of your choice, and organise for the ashes to be decanted into the urn. The ashes can be part of a ceremony, scattered at a meaningful location, interred at a crematorium or memorial park… whatever you choose.

The cost of cremation can vary, depending on the particular crematorium you choose; cremations start from $2,200. Call us now to discuss cremation options.

PRICING

Picaluna believes in 100% price transparency.

The invoice we provide, itemises all the products and services for the funeral at cost. For example, if we get a coffin from the supplier at the wholesale cost of $300, we itemise it in the invoice at $300… no hidden mark-ups. We then apply a 35% Service fee to the wholesale cost of the funeral.  Furthermore, we donate 5% of our profit to a charity of the family’s choice.

BURIALS

We provide advice on all burial options available. Burial plots are often purchased ahead of time, and if this is a preferred option, should form part of end of life planning where possible. Some people like to engage the cemetery directly, but if required, we can make the approach on your behalf, and do all the organising for you.

Are you organising a Memorial Service?

A memorial service can provide many more personal options and flexibility beyond a traditional funeral. Particularly if you will also be hosting a wake directly following the ceremony. This is especially significant in this time of uncertainty, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Picaluna Celebrants are committed to delivering highly personalised ceremonies for Funerals and Memorials; genuine, caring celebrations, reflecting the person’s life, their family, friends and community.

Assistance with choosing the right venue – Picaluna works with an extensive number of premium and unique Venues in the Sydney Metropolitan area, lower Southern Highlands, Blue Mountains, the Central Coast, and Newcastle.  You may like some helpful advice in choosing the right kind of venue for your special Service.

"I can't tell you how delighted we were with the service that Oliver gave us for our father's funeral. No fake sympathy, no pushiness, always respectful of Mum's religious needs and most importantly, making sure that Mum had everything as she wanted it.”
