Coronavirus Contingencies

With funerals now restricted to a handful of people due to COVID19 Government measures, Picaluna is doing everything possible to ease that extra distress for our families.

Picaluna is taking necessary steps to ensure the safety of its staff, suppliers and of course, the families and congregations who attend Picaluna funerals. Please be assured that we are keeping up to date with the current situation and we are constantly assessing the impact of any COVID-19 developments.

We’re doing everything we can to support our families during these challenging times. ABC News came to film one of our funeral ceremonies which we livestreamed online for friends and family unable to join us in person. Play the video to hear what Picaluna Funeral Director Shelly Bennett had to say.

Picaluna is expanding our livestreaming services. We can webcast from any location and offer a sophisticated, multi-camera production capability.

We’re also looking ahead to introducing something innovative – online-only, interactive funeral ceremonies. If restrictions tighten further, we’ll be ready.

Picaluna Managing Director Greg Inglis spoke to SBS News about our plans. Watch the full interview below.
