We are a network of celebrants and professional planners that empowers families to organise truly inspirational, affordable and authentic farewells for their loved ones.
Unlike a funeral director, we don’t have any physical locations or infrastructure such as chapels, hearses or mortuaries. Instead, we team up with service providers such as florists, stationery providers, coffin suppliers, cemeteries and crematorium to tailor everything we do to suit the family’s needs.
It means families have an unlimited choice of options available to create the most authentic and inspirational farewell possible, rather than confirm to the rigid practices of an industry that’s slow to evolve.
Location is often a pivotal decision, with burials or cremations now taking place before a memorial service at a football club, on a beach – wherever’s seen to be the most fitting site for a send-off.
Picaluna is open and transparent about how we work and the cost of our services. And we donate 10% of the profit from the funeral to a charity of the family’s choice.
